Anytype has become the focal point of my entire [productivity] system + it is impossible to overstate how much i admire/adore the product the fine folks behind anytype have created 🙏🏽
If you've ever gone through the inconveniences of every productivity and note-taking app out there (Evernote, OneNote, Notion, Obsidian, ClickUp), you will breathe a sigh of relief once you're introduced Anytype and start using it.
This app is really slick. Has most everything I want. Local first, secure, decentralized, open-source.
I wanted to just fall at your feet and bow to your amazingness. I've spent 3+ years trying to get this project off the ground. I cannot stress how badly I have needed #AnyType in my life. You have created everything I was missing. In other words... You complete me!
A huge, big thank you to the developers. I feel like a kid who still can't believe they got a game console for Christmas or something.
Anytype is setting itself up to be more than just a note-taking or messaging application.
Its goal is a new platform for a distributed Internet, built using privacy-preserving peer-to-peer technologies.
@AnytypeLabs is a whole new world!
Gonna spoil myself with a haircut today & go eat my Bitcoin while sipping on some bottles of Wine. Why? Because I finished moving my entire Poetry Book over to @AnytypeLabs at 3am so I could learn it’s UI & I’m loving this as my go to for notes, planning, ideas, lists, etc…
It's just damn good
Anytype is much more than a note-taking app. It has the potential to overturn our corporate-dominated internet and help us all to build a new, privacy-first, cooperative web. This could be the future if we support the effort.
In our modern world where data and information play such an important role, taking care of your privacy and security has become a priority. Anytype offers strong data encryption and provides a high level of security, which gives me confidence that my information is safe.
Anytype is free, open source, beautifully designed, offline first, private, multi device sync. What a vision!
I have been testing #AnyType for a few weeks. I was blown away by the elegance and power of the concepts underlying it: Objects, Types, Relations, Sets, Collections. They let you build a powerful and flexible #PKM system. And it's open source!
Outstanding idea and the product just gets better constantly. The best tool I’ve used of its sorted with a graph as a central tenet, as let’s be honest, that’s how we build documentation.
I was blown away by the synchronization speed.
It's possibly one of the fastest sync engines I have ever tried.
A local first, E2EE, privacy respecting (you own your own data) notes / knowledge organization app is very cool. Getting to visualize how objects and sets within your database are all connected through the "graph" visualization = SUPER COOL.
Finally, a decentralized, encrypted and locally-hosted solution for your notes that's also open-source: AnyType from @AnytypeLabs is a perfect solution the sovereign individual!
Proud user of anytype
I wanted to make this post to say I really appreciate the transparent, honest and objective way the entire AnyTeam communicates with your user base. That’s a huge asset you guys have.
So excited to be alpha testing @AnytypeLabs Anytype app! Especially love data sovereignty. No clouds, no licenses, no providers. Local area sync among my devices. Open source. Free. Very promising. And more stable than even commercial apps so far.
This app the only one what I'm dreaming for a long time.
Anytype shows the most promise I have seen in years. There are tons of note taking apps out there, but Anytype is looking like a platform that extends far beyond what most developers are setting out to create. They seem to understand how to integrate privacy, security and personal control as a foundation of their design.
I love everything about this app. The UI, the graph view, and the fact that it is local-first, private, open source, and being built in public. Huge Kudos to the team.
Just love it. If you care about data safety, faster sync, and managing your knowledge. Go for it.
Obsidian is closed source, Roam Research is not free, and Notion and Tana are online-first. Anytype is none of those things.
I've been using Anytype for more than a year. It's everything I've been looking for in a personal knowledge database: easy to use, syncs across devices, and is both private and designed for collaboration.
The best second brain one could ask for. Private, secure, open source, feature-packed, cross-platform, good leadership, good communication, active community, basically checks every box there is to check.
It's the first time in years since I've been excited about a piece of software, at least since the time software started being sold as a service.
I love anytype so much. that's all ^ ^ it's just so perfect.
